P3O certification is provided by AXELOS. Examination Institutes (EIs) accredited by AXELOS can administer this programme. The Examination Institutes in turn authorize Accredited Training Organisations (ATOs), their trainers and their study material.
P30 certification has two levels: Foundation and Practitioner. Foundation level course implies that the candidate has knowledge of P30 guidelines and can work accordingly. The P30 foundation exam is based on basic concepts and terms related to P30 Guidance. Practitioner level certification means that the candidate can manage or work in a component of a P3O.
In P30 practitioner exam, you would be given about 80-question objective test examination and the pass mark here is 40 (50%). The examination duration is about two and a half hours’ and if you succeed in the same then you are eligible apply for the P3O to the running and management of a non-complex Portfolio. P3O Practitioner status needs to be re-registered in 3 to 5 years through a Re-Registration examination.
